DIY Ribbon Necklace with Hair Clip

DIY jewelry making -- what a way to spend a Saturday. Though I'm not the crafty type, it feels refreshing creating something new. So what this DIY ribbon necklace takes only two steps? I still had fun.

Want to try it yourself? It is easy -- I promise.

What you need:

1) A hair clip. Preferably a hair clip with big ornaments, like my flower below.

The medium-sized flower clip made the perfect focal point.
By the way, this hair clip belongs to my toddler. Thanks for letting mommy "borrow" it :O)

2) A ribbon in matching or similar color.
Got this years ago to tie wedding invitations. Glad to put the rest to use.

What you do:

Step 1

Cut ribbon into manageable length.

Step 2

Clip on hair clip.

Done.

See? Nothing to it.

Wear

Just tie it on at the back of your neck.

Hope you enjoyed my (super easy) DIY ribbon necklace.

Happy Sunday, girlies!

  1. Cute! Always helps to borrow bits and pieces from family members. I think that you could probably use that clip to embellish a skinny belt, too!
