FITNESS AFTER PREGNANCY: BICEPS BY RESISTANCE BAND

2 weeks after a c-section, I was given an 'okay' to start light lifting.  That's why I decided to start with an resistance band, because it is easier on the body.  Plus, the resistance band creates long, lean muscles that make arms look elegant.

For biceps, the movement is very simple.   Here goes:

Step 1
Hold each end of the band with each hand, palms up.  Step on band in the middle.

If you want a harder lift, step with feet apart to stretch the band.

Step 2
Slowly lift by bending the elbows, until your biceps feel enough burn.
Make sure your upper arms stay put.

Step 3
Slowly lower arms and return to starting position

Do 4 sets of 10 - 16 reps

You can get a resistance band or a set of them at many place.  I got mine at the local Sports Authority (http://www.sportsauthority.com)

Have fun!!!!

  13. You should be proud of yourself for starting exercise after 2 week of C-section. I “used to” exercise everyday but not anymore. It’s hard to keep up with things when you have family especially little one that needs the attention. Keep up the great work!

  14. Congrats on the new baby!

You look great, not like you just had a baby.

I should definitely take a cue from you and get out my resistance bands as I haven't been good about the whole exercise thing since I had my baby boy :-)

    P.S.
Thanks for following, I'm now following you :-)
