AN AFFAIR WITH YOUR HAIR

Need a lift from the mid-winter low? A new do could get the job done! Remember the "Rachael" in the 90's? Reese Witherspoon's post divorce bangs? And last year's sexy "Rihanna" bob? A brilliant hair do could be your secret weapon to a killer look! And when you look good, you feel good too - yes! Even in this deadly sad weather!

If you've had the same hair cut for years, it's time to have an affair with a head of new hair! Messy pixie, romantic waves, or even streaks of face-contouring highlights...Whatever you prefer.

This kind of cheating is never guilty, only gorgeous.

Have an affair with your hair, and bring some fun into the boring winter air!

MOISTURIZE IN THE MILE HIGH

Especially during the holidays, flying across the U.S to see family is unavoidable for hubby and I. After a few years, traveling light has become our forte. However light we prefer to travel, one thing that ALWAYS makes into my one backpack is moisturizer or lotion.

Up in the mile high, a commercial airplane cabin usually lacks moisture. Due to prevention of air frame corrosion, air that travels into the cabin through the engine usually goes through device called an Air Conditioning Pack that cools the air and also takes out its moisture. The dry air then circulates the cabin at 50% rate to enable efficiency. Basically, you get pretty dehydrated when you fly.

Besides asking for water, apply moisturizer and save your skin! Also, dabbing on lotion to your hands and elbows can prevent dryness too.

Flying is still a great way to travel, especially if you live far from the people you love. But you don't have to sacrafice your skin. All you need is one small minute and moisturize. And when you step off your flight, you can impress the people you haven't seen in a long time with how wonderful you look, just like how they always remembered.

WHAT'S VICTORIA'S SECRET?

Victoria has a secret and I can't wait to find out. With their semi annual, nation wide sale coming soon, I better get started.

Did you know that Victoria's Secret was started by a guy? And a smart guy he was, but really shy when he was getting his significant female other lingerie. With hopes to minimize other men's discomfort of buying lingerie for their girlfriends or wives in department stores, he opened the first Victoria's Secret store, a much more personal shopping environment for intimates with helpful staff and special-made products.

With his genius concept of a personalized lingerie store (I know, it's a girlie girl's dream, oddly dreamed up by some dude), he popularized the brand by mail orders and sold his expanding business to the Limited only 5 years later.

Now, just about every woman in the United States has Victoria's Secret somewhere in their closet. The company is known for its genius engineering in female intimates, luxurious beauty products, and the most glamorous models and runway shows we have ever witnessed.

In fact, the newest Victoria's Secret fashion show was just on TV last night, and I nearly dropped my jaws seeing the goddess-like models strut on the run way.

Alright, I may never find out Victoria's Secret. In fact, Victoria probably doesn't have a secret. But it sure makes a great name for a lingerie store. I do think it's sweet that this guy, the inventor of the original Victoria's Secret store, turned his love and thoughtfulness for the girl he loved into the perfect business concept.

See? Do what you love and the money will come. For him, it all started with love. Perhaps that is the best secret of all.

THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKING

Not sure when I started to wear my knee high boots? But once I started, I can't stop! Sexy, warm and statement-making, my boots are the perfect accessories for cold weather outfits. Or actually, ANY outfit! Whether paired with a lovely wool skirt for work, or worn over skinny denim, they never fail to make a fashionable statement!

For me, I especially like them in the rainy Seattle winter. Stepping over the wet ground with my boots is much better than staining and wetting expensive work pants.

Ever heard of the statement "If the shoe fits, wear them"? Well, the statement goes for boots too. And yes, these boots are made for walking. But they are also made to make you, my girlie girl friend, look sexy, fashionable and so amazing!

BROWN EYED GIRLS

On Halloween, I hosted a small pre-party and had some friends over. Of course, the girls bonded over make up and dress up. One of the guests, a work friend, I see everyday. But until I did her make up, I never realized how mesmerizing her big, brown eyes were. For me, a girlie girl who LOVES make overs and such, HAD to play up those beautiful eyes!

One way to perform the task of playing up brown eyes is choosing a contrasting shade. Because her skin color was also dark, an earth toned shadow would be too competitive of a color. So our options were a light shimmery lilac for the brow bone, and a dark shade of violet for the lids and just a tiny sliver on the crease.

Plus extending her lashes with a few rounds of the blackest mascara and POP her eyes became!

Although any color that's purple, violet, lilac or such appear intimidating and adventurous, they do contrast brown eyes the best. When done correctly, these colors are as pretty as they sound.

I hope my friend will someday do her own share of playing up her beautiful brown eyes, however lovely she may already be.

PUFFY EYES? POOF! THEY ARE GONE!

I love when my friends request subjects to (girlie) blog about. This time? "How to rid of puffiness under your eyes?"

First let's look at the cause. If puffiness is not the result of some allergic reaction, chances they come from fluid retention. A long term cure could be eating less salty foods and sleeping with your head propped up to prevent blood circulating around your eyes. An extra pillow maybe? And of course, get enough sleep. That is always the BEST remedy.

If you are already seeing puffiness under your eyes in the morning, anything cold is a sure cure!

If you have time, dip tea bags (green tea is most excellent) in hot water and put the bags in the freezer. Once chilled, smooth bags on each eye for a few minutes. Not only does the chill deflate your puff, the caffeine helps with wrinkles.

However, if you are stressed on time, I suggest you ALWAYS keep a couple of metal spoons in the freezer. Lay the convex part of the spoons over your eye sockets and let set for a couple of minutes. Frozen spoons work because they are still cold, but do not give you freezer burns like an ice cube does.

Another and probably the most famous method to try? You guess it! Cucumber slices! They are cold, they are soothing and they are natural.

I hope all the suggestions helped. Remember, there are plenty of quick fixes, but the best is a long term life style change. Drink plenty of water, eat less salt and get all the sleep you can!

WHEN IT COMES TO BELTS, GO BIG!

Long tops are everywhere, and they are not going anywhere soon. From flowing flower blouses to subtle-colored knits, they have invaded our closets with a bang of staying power. However, any Girlie Girl knows that no outfit is complete without the most complimentary accessories. And the best accessory for those fashionable long tops you have are belts, big ones!

Belts have come a long way from functional to fashionable. And these big, thick belts, paired with a long top, are not only eye catching but also accentuate the waist - a great combination of function and fashion in one single accessory.

At first they may be intimidating. It took me a while to try them on. But once I wore them I couldn't stop. And if you haven't yet, I highly recommend you take the chance to become just as attached to these fashionable big belts as I did.

THE GIRLIE BLOG RECOMMENDS: NEUTROGENA MICROMIST AIRBRUSH SUNLESS TAN

In your thirties, you start seeing sun damage on your skin. Dark spots, uneven skin tone and crow's feet are just among the many symptoms. They are also the reason why I significantly cut down trips to the tanning booth, and I suggest you do the same. But fear not for your amazing bronze! The latest sunless products are not only easy to use, they actually give you a real tan, as in no strange orange coloring and no unsightly streaking.

In my bathroom, there is always a bottle of Neutrogena Micro Mist Airbrush Sunless Tan. The micro mist sprays on evenly and in about two to four hours your skin settles into a beautiful bronze.

For just about ten dollars, this sunless tanning tool is sold just about anywhere. Now you can look good without the risk of skin problems. What a treat!

BE KIND. UNWIND.

One regret I do have is that in my twenties I should have taken more time for myself. Partly because of loneliness and partly because of boredom, I often filled my weekends and sometimes weekday nights out on the town. Even under exhaustion I felt obligated to be out and seen.

Now, though I still enjoy a fun night out, time for relaxation is much more sought after. On a very recent weekend, everything I did, I did for me: sleeping in til' noon, ordering Chinese and watching bad scary movies, steaming my face while blogging and web surfing, and of course cuddling with hubby and our little puppy. It was like a sweet escape to absolutely nowhere, and it was absolutely the best time!

Everyone gets into their day-to-day hectic routines without realizing how tired they can become. We are always doing something for someone else. It's time to do something for ourselves and just unwind. Be it meditation, lounging around or even cleaning the closet. Any time you spare for yourself can be healthily therapeutic. Perhaps after you recharge, you'll have the energy to dance the night away again!

GUILTY AS CHARGED: AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL

Every season, a circle of beautiful young girls strive for the dream of becoming America's Next Top Model. Under careful surveillance of famous model Tyra Banks herself, these girls transform from ordinary to...something else.

Now on its 11th cycle, the show is still fresh of fashion, photo shoots and most importantly, bickering amongst the models.

My latest fave was a bitchy exchange of words between Bronx beauty Gina and stunning Seattlite Elina. Elina may have the winning look (the girl is so gorgeous that even her forearm tattoo looks sexy), but Gina can definitely put the smack down!

After so many years on the CW, the drama on America's Next Top Model just keeps on getting better. Plus, the girls are HOT, which makes this pleasure TV even more guilty to indulge!

THE GIRLIE BLOG RECOMMENDS: SEX AND THE CITY, THE MOVIE!

You can lose your way in LIPSTICK JUNGLE, or wrap yourself with the CASHMERE MAFIA, but there is no show on TV that provides the same spunk, sex and empowerment for women like the original SEX AND THE CITY.

After years out of the spotlight, they are back - Samantha, Charlotte, Miranda, and our favorite shoe gal Carrie take the big stage alongside our beloved fifth lady, Manhattan.

Although 2 hours in a movie can never replace the details audience received from the show, it is one of the most entertaining films in 2008. Drama? Check! Fashion? Check! Sex? Of course! Did you really think they'd skimp you on the good stuff?

You don't have to be a fan of the show to enjoy SEX AND THE CITY, the movie. But you do have to love the women. Because there's a little of Samantha, Charlotte, Miranda and Carrie in all of us Girlie Girls!

MAKEUP TREND OF FALL 2008: STAINED LIPS

It has the look of innocence. Like teenage girls who are experimenting with makeup. Lips that are stained with pink or wine colors, and the rest of the face fresh and undone.

One of the prettiest looks of this fall is that soft, bitten, sweetly stained lips.

Just use your fingers and blot the color on and perform very little painting everywhere else. It's easy and it's pretty.

WEDDING PICTURES SCRAPBOOKING: A TRULY CREATIVE WEDDING PRESENT

Among the silver-rimmed China, stacks of Bed, Bath & Beyond gift cards and wads of cash, we had one wedding gift that stood out from the rest. It was a hand-crafted, home-made scrapbook by one of my bridesmaids.

Each page resembled, all of them in chronological order, my wedding weekend, a sequence of the most beautiful days in my life!

From the wild night out in NYC for the bachelorette party, to the endearing rehearsal dinner, to the tearful ceremony before the joyful afterparty, all the memories were captured by photo prints carefully laid out on each page. Plus some fun words to caption each photo, making every captured memory even more flavorful.

Today there are so many web sites who can create a beautiful, shiny album with advanced graphical design by simply clicking your mouse. They are easy, fast and well-done. But none of them competes with one of my closest friend's wedding gift - a truly creative and personal way to celebrate the weekend of a lifetime!

It is a gift that costs no more than the heart that put into it, and therefore it is priceless.

BENEFITS OF WEARING SUNGLASS

Nevermind cataracts (cloudy formations on the lense inside the eye) and photokeratitis (sunburn of the cornea, the surface of the eyeball), just thinking of your skin should make you mandate the gesture of wearing sunglasses under the sun.

Just like putting SPF on your skin, your eyes need protection from harsh UV. And sunglasses, especially those with UV protection, step into the job. Ever squinted your eyes under the sun? You are creating more and more wrinkles by doing that. Sunglasses help with that too.

Plus, you are less likely to get into accidents, walking or driving, if you can see without the glaring sunlight in your face.

Today, sunglasses are one of the most popular accessories. Even designers brands like GUCCI and ARMANI produce some very fashionable sunglasses. So there you go! For both health and fashion, put on your perfect pair and get outside!

ALL ABOUT PERFUME: WHAT MAKES SCENT TO YOU?

A friend requested that I write about perfume, so here goes one of my favorite subjects that's never been written about.

Perfume, one of the oldest beauty products, is also one of the most popular modern-day. While some women wear perfume on special occasions, others identify by their special bottle of scent. However, now, there are so many different perfume out there, it's hard for any woman to choose a smell that fits her best.
When perfume shopping, it's important for her to try out her choices before purchase. Here are some things to remember:

1. Go perfume shopping with clean skin.
2. Don't try on too many perfume. Otherwise you will confuse the smells.
3. When you try on perfume, leave it on your skin for a while. Test out how long it lasts. Sometimes the mixture in the perfume repels your skin and doesn't last as long as it should.
4. Just remember, when it comes to perfume, it's like a wedding dress. When you have found it, you know it. Don't let all those brand names confuse you. When you stumble into the right one, it becomes yours.
To further help you out, here are a few suggestions that I've tried:
Classical: No. 5 by Channel

Sensual: Irresistible by Lancome

Fresh: Aqua de Gio by Armani

Sporty: Liz Sport by Claiborne

And of course, my all time love: Pleasures by Estee Lauder

THE NEWEST LITTLE BLACK DRESS: CLASSIC GLAMOUR ON A MODERN GIRLIE GIRL

The beloved LBD - silent superstar of our closet, the most applicable backdrop to our accessories, our savior during any fashion crisis. It may be our most under appreciated item yet provides the most stunning of results - a look of understated glamor and classical beauty.
Audrey Hepburn in BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S introduced the classic of the LBD and proved at simplicity can be just as exquisite. Today, however, our takes on the LBD come in so many ways. Below I have compiled some of the more modern LBD's, each one fitting a unique type of body shape, personality or mood.
With so many ways to recreate the lovely effect of the LBD - yes, our most beloved Little Black Dress, this fashion statement is not just seasonal or regional. It's infinitively universal and we like that!

THE GRAVITY-DEFINING MOISTURIZING TECHNIQUE

Want younger skin? 3 words: MOISTURIZE! MOISTURIZE! MOISTURIZE!
Personally I prefer AVEENO POSITIVELY RADIANT DAILY MOISTURIZER WITH SPF 15 for day, Neutrogena POSITIVELY FIRM for night, and SHISHEIDO Eye Moisture Recharge for crow's feet.
In addition to using products, it is also important how you apply them. Instead of stroking from the top to the bottom of your face, stroke from the bottom to the top. This way, you are messaging your skin upwards, in a way defining the weight of gravity.
It might not be natural for you to use the bottom-up technique, but it becomes easier with practice.
For me, I actually start from the neck up, ensuring that all movements are upward and lifting.
And with eye cream, I use my finger tips, start from just below the eye and message around to the outer corner.
Of course, your skin has much to do with diet and genetics. However, products are proven to help. And if you use them, you might as well use them with a great technique.

INTENSIFY YOUR WORKOUT FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS

Sure you can take a brisk walk on the treadmill and call it a workout. To get maximum results, however, you need INTENSITY! I'm talking about sweat-dripping, teeth-clenching, pain-inducing intensity that discomfortingly breaks down your muscles and takes you to a new kind of sore.

Soreness may not be your ideal kind of feeling, but it does provide a sense of personal achievement. Afterwards, feed yourself a good amount of protein and let those muscles rest up, so that next time you can reach another level of INTENSITY.

I know that we are girlie girls and prefer a pedi to hardcore muscle training. But we are also strong females who don't have time to waste. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When in gym, do as the gym rats do:
If you prefer the cardio machines, push yourself to go faster and at higher resistance.
If you like to lift, do heavier sets (safely) or increase repetitions.
If you box, throw each punch as if you are fighting for your life!

Whatever you do, put more or all into it. In time, you will clearly identify the results. But tomorrow, you will be sore and very, very proud!

THE STANDING CALVE RAISE MACHINE: BEST FOR SHOWING SOME LEGS

Excuse my French, but fuck those skinny bitches in Hollywood who think wearing stilettos and vacuuming is considered a calve workout! They got their superstar calves just like human beings such as you and me - EXERCISING!

May I introduce my new best friend at the gym? The standing calve raise machine. For a pair of sexy, shapely legs, try it out at desirable weight with 3 - 4 sets of 10 reps. And don't just raise your calves and let go, try holding the raised position by a few seconds each rep. Don't lock your knees, and don't bent them too much. Keep your posture straight and look ahead. Just like any other exercise, focus on isolation!

OK girls, I got nothing against stilettos! Now that your calves look super toned and sleek, wear those heels and dance til' you drop (which can be another great workout)! Just don't believe the myth that great legs are as easy as free. You want em'? You work for them! And once you have em', show em' off with a FABULOUS pair of stilettos!

RECOMMENDED: PANTENE PRO-V RESTORATIVES TIME RENEWAL REPLENISHING MASK

Like a drug, hair coloring can be just as addictive. Streaks of honey blond for the summer and tints of auburn in the fall, even vowed hair virgins become enslaved to passion for a head of beautiful, luscious color.

Coloring, like all sacrifices for beauty, can be damaging overtime. It is recommended that all colored hair, be it low lights, highlights, partial or full, is treated to deep conditioning once a month. But with such pricey treatments at the salon, who has the money?

No fear! You can get similar results with PANTENE PRO-V RESTORATIVES Time Renewal Replenishing Mask. Lather this product in wet hair for as long as three minutes and rinse. Your hair will feel soft, smooth and touchable - yup, like a virgin again!

RUFFLES: LATEST TREND

Any girlie girl deserves to look the part. Sometimes it's cool to be edgy, but a soft style can be both sexy and approachable.
Gladly, ruffles are everywhere in the current season. From tanks to minis, work to weekend, a little ruffle here and there can soften even a rocker chick, never mind a girlie girl!

Here are a few suggestions on how to wear this girlie trend:

1) Casual and comfy:

2) Flirty and fun:

3) Sexy and smart

4) All dressed up

SHRINK IT AND PINK IT: GADGETS FOR WOMEN

I don't have an ipod, my laptop is like a thick log, and after my phone broke I just borrowed hubby's beat up cell. Needless to say, I'm not the most savvy when it comes to everyday technology. Even though I work in IT, I was probably the last person to learn of blue tooth.
What can I say? I am the ultimate girlie girl, and I just don't care about the latest and greatest tech gadget.
On NPR one day, I heard news of tech companies that reach out to female audience (yes, girlie girls) by concept of "shrink it and pink it". And after some research on the internet, I must say that some of these shrunken pink things look more like designer accessories than genius engineering.
Want a preview of these smart products with smart design? The list below can impress even a behind-the-technology girlie girl!

M.A.C FIBRE-RICH LASH MASCARA

On my body, the only thing I want to be "fat" are my lashes. I'm talking about thick, lustrous, in-your-face lashes that look oh-so-sexy! To enable this type of effect for my lashes, M.A.C fibre-rich mascara does the best! Its creamy texture glides on smoothly and doesn't clump. Each morning, I give my lashes 2 doses that make my sleepy eyes pop without 1 ounce of caffeine. For $11, you can achieve rich, natural-looking, mile-long lashes that look deliciously F.A.T!

WRAP DRESS: CREATIVE SOME CURVES

One good thing about working on a team full of women is all the fashion show offs. Each day, it's a guarantee that at least one girl on the team will wear something that makes the rest of us green with envy.

Miss T is known for her Jennifer Aniston-like outfits that make looking good way too easy. Miss H is always tailored and pulled together, while Miss W wears the most quirky surprise. But Miss V has always outdone all of us with her glam style and multi-digit price tag. Today she was in the most stylish wrap dress that hugs her curves in all the right places.

Immediately, of course, I wanted my own wrap dress. But I was wary of my boyish shape - would my curves (or the lack of) look as good in the same type of dress?

To my surprise, when I tried on a wrap dress today, my curves were actually created by the wrap! Although I ended up not buying the dress, seeing my otherwise invisible curves was a very good surprise - all thanks to that little wrap dress!

TOXIC FRIENDS, THEY ARE WORTH THE DUMP

Unfortunately, when it comes to toxic friends, I have had more of them than real friends. How do I know they are toxic? There are various ways and they all start with "too": too competitive, too jealous, too needy, to "me me me"...Luckily, over the years, I stopped being so catering and cut them loose - well, most of them.
You see, toxic friends are just what they are - toxic. They pollute your life and bring you down. They have no way of dealing with their own problems, so they pawn them off onto you.
When I was younger, I was more accepting of these back-stabbing, selfish, "I am the center of the universe" morons. And it took some time to cut loose. But after completely eliminating their negative energy from my life, I was able to "breath" and never felt better.
I'm sure by now you have identified toxic friends of your own. Whether you decide to gradually cut them out, or go cold turkey, just remember that quality always trumps quantity - it's always better to hold tight of really good and trusting friends, even if there are only a few, than really bad ones that intoxicate your life.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACCESSORIZE!

What's this season's best way to ornate? Think: big, bright and bold. Like a strand of ruby-colored stones or a large jade-colored ring. Paired with a tame outfit, these trendy accessories steal the show like an upcoming Hollywood starlet.

I'm sure you've seen them in the latest magazines or just about everywhere from suburban shopping malls to downtown boutiques. But if you still have no idea what I am talking about, check them out here:

RECYCLE THOSE HOSE

I know there are body shapers out there that claim to tuck your middle and flatter your behind. And I am sure some of them work really well. In fact, I bought one before my wedding and it did serve its purpose. With a dress, especially my puffy wedding dress, my body shaper worked well. But one problem I have with it is that when I wear pants, its short legs keep rolling up my legs. The uncontrollable rolling up was uncomfortable.

One day my pantyhose tore on the bottom. Right when I was about to throw them away, it dawn on me that the control top pantyhose can serve as a body shaper if I cut off the legs. And that I did!

Not only does this double the use of my pantyhose, I can comfortably shape my tummy and booty without suffering discomfort.

I suggest you give your old hose a try. If it doesn't work for you, no problem. They are just garbage anyway.

Another Spring trend for 08'? Go Greek!

5-MINUTE MAKE-UP TIPS

No time for make-up in the A.M? A lot of us can identify. No worries, I have just the trick to make you work ready in only 5 minutes, so that before you knock em' dead in the board room, you can look drop dead in the mirror:

1. Prep face with moisturizer
2. Smooth on foundation with a make-up sponge
3. Line inner and outer rims of your eyes with a natural-looking eyeliner
4. Curl lashes and apply mascara
5. Top your cheeks with bronzer
6. Coat lips with gloss
7. Apply 1 more coat of mascara

No fuss. No mess. In five minutes, you are done.

VICTORIA'S SECRET: "CONVER-TI-BRA"

A halter can do two beautiful things: lift and slenderize. It is the reason I love shoulder days at the gym. It is the fall back outfit every time I have a night out.
But a halter can also be tricky when you want to cover up proper under garments. That's why I purchased my latest must-have: Victoria's Secrets' 100-way Convertible Bra.
This bra comes with 4 sets of straps: halter, regular, clear, and backless. It truly does convert into whatever you need for the outfit at hand.
The best experience with the "conver-ti-bra" for me is when I wore a backless Frederick's dress. Anything from Frederick's is skin-bearing anyway. If you don't have proper support, you look trashy instead of glamorous. I used the backless strap on my dress, and not only did it look great under the dress, it performed proper lifting and felt comfortable all night.
A girlie girl has many needs, especially about her outfits. It's great to know that the people at Victoria's Secret took notice, and created a bra at one price with many ways to cater to its most important demographic - us girlie girls.

SMALL CHANGES, BIG GAINS

Ever seen the show "Biggest Loser"? If the people on that show can loose weight, anyone can! From chubby tubby, they have melted to something svelte. And it's only through healthy eating and sweaty workouts that these losers became weight winners.
And so, each one of us can become a winner with changes to our lifestyles. I must re-iterate the importance of good eats and increased exercise. However, change can also be hard to make.
For starters, you can change one small thing at a time. For example, if you smoke, smoke one cigarette less each day. If you eat a lot of sweets during the day, don't have desert after 7PM. And if are not exercising, take a 30-min walk every other day, especially when it's beautiful outside.
Remember, small steps = big gains. Also remember, if those "biggest losers" can do it, so can you!

GIRLS NIGHT OUT IDEAS

Although snuggling on the coach with the hubby is one of my favorite weekend activities, a girl just has to go out and be seen some time. When I first moved to Seattle, I was nervous about not having people to go out with. And Seattle is such a fun city! Luckily I found a group of girls with similar interests.
Come Girls' Night Out! And surprisingly, it has been happening once each month. Most of the time we go to bars and clubs, but to spice things up, we have created quite a list of themes:

- Biker chic night
- Sex and the City Night
- Pot luck
- Funky wigs and cool hats
- Games and Spa night (for girls night in)
- Cowgirl's Night

I'm sure there are many more creative ideas for girls' night out. The point is, you don't have to go with the typical night at the club. Spice things up with a creative theme! It'll be more fun than you are already anticipating!

SPA FACIALS: GUILTY AS CHARGED

No, I do not have enough money to go every month. But as often as I can afford to, I treat myself to a facial at the spa.
Since I have only been in Seattle for a few months, I do not have a regular place to go. Besides, I get pleasure trying new places anyway.
Not only is a facial good for the skin (where a trained professional examines and cleans your face, as well as treating any imperfections), it is incredibly relaxing.
Good for the skin and good for the soul? How can a girlie girl resist?
This is one of my guilty pleasures (guilty for the hefty price tag) that I would suggest to any man or woman.

IN FOR SPRING

Sometimes fashion can be cruel.
Skinny jeans may look good on Victoria Beckam, not on most women. Stilettos may work the calves, but not when you trip and fall. And remember the 80's? Or are you still trying to forget the stiffly big hair?
However, every season there are some trends that we just love to keep. Like the comfy wedges that are so back in by popular demand!
This spring, trends are incredibly comfortable and flattering! To check out a few, look below:

1) Safari prints

2) Ful
l skirts

3) Maxi dresses
