Gucci Women's Square Sunglasses (Black, Grey, Green) Review

Welcome back to my review!

Springtime is here and days are sunnier. I wanted to upgrade my everyday-sunglasses and ran into these beautiful pair of GUCCI SUNGLASSES. After wearing them for a few weeks, I have fallen in love. I am happy to give then a full review.
If you're looking for a pair of sunglasses that have the classic square shape, then you might find today's review helpful.

Talking Points

Today's review consists of the following points:
1. The reasons why I purchased these sunglasses.
2. My overall feel including likes and dislikes.
3. Who they're best for and which occasions they are best for?

Why these GUCCI sunglasses?

Well, I can't lie. The brand is attractive. I'm not big on name brands but I do enjoy quality designer accessories. When it comes to things that wear daily, like sunglasses, I feel that quality trumps everything else. And GUCCI is a quality brand.

Two, the oversized, square style fits my round and wide face shape the best.

Three, the retro style is unique.

Likes and Dislikes

Here are the specs:
  • The colors are black rim and gray and green shades
  • The lens are non-polarized but there is UV protective coating.
  • The lens are 56 millimeters wide and 55.5 millimeters tall.
  • The bridge is about 19 millimeters and the arms are about 145 millimeters long
  • Overall Feel

They feel so comfortable! The width worked perfectly for me. In fact, if I move my head, the sunglasses stay put. I can wear them with confidence during outside activities. They are also beautifully made. The entire package is attractive with the big and bold style, the gradient lenss and the subtle gucci logo. Everything comes together to create a luxurious but also very functional accessory.

The sunglasses are also easy to style. They're not sports sunglasses but I can wear them with various types of outfits.

    Who they are for?

If you have a round face shape like mine, then the style will suit you well. If you like being outside, you should also certainly consider them. They are high quality sunglasses, and you will use them for a while. I certainly plan to make a life-time use out of these. Some occasions that I see them being useful at include graduation ceremonies, weddings and any outside activities.

    Thanks again for your time

I hope you that found today's review helpful. See you next time.

THIS WEEK'S RECOMMENDATIONS (BEAUTY AND SKIN CARE BLOG POST)

    Blog post contains affiliate links.

    FOR YOUR SKIN

Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream

With few and natural ingredients including olive oil, bees wax, honey and royal jelly, the EGYPTIAN MAGIC CREAM (affiliate) achieved what it promised--to hydrate skin.

Please beware that it looks and behaves dissimilar to other skin cream: a waxy consistency, as opposed to a succulent, white paste, that dissolved into oil after gentle rubbing.

Though oil promptly absorbed into skin, there was slight residue; but such annoyance can be overlooked considering that the cream, after a week of consistent use, accomplished healthier appearance.

The cream is all-purpose and suits all skin types, and that is allllll-right with us.

    Appearance at first.

    After gentle rubbing.

Almost fully absorbed after a few minutes.

    FOR YOUR NIGHT TIME ROUTINE

    Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream

Solid product, trusted brand, and affordable price too (around $12 - 15), this NEUTROGENA ANTI-WRINKLE NIGHT CREAM (affiliate) combats the appearance of wrinkles while protecting skin at night, when you cannot hydrate and therefore lose moisture the most.

    FOR YOUR MAKEUP BAG

    Physicians Formula Multi-Colored Custom Blush

The product's natural shade and pleasing presentation give it that "everyday-wear" factor. Its ingeniously-designed compact, with a pop-up layer that encases brush and mirror, adds more reason to love PHYSICANS FORMULA (affiliate).

    FOR YOUR NIGHT STAND

    Fun Classic Reads

Entertaining books. But of course, you already know that; as well as how, instead of helping you asleep, they might keep you up. :O)

    FOR MONDAY MORNINGS

    Inspirational Speeches

Seattleites suffer not the Monday-Blues but the Monday-Grays--thanks to the Upper-Left's moody weather--and therefore need extra fuel to rev our engines for the week.

After coffee, inspirational words please! And please consider AmericanRhetoric.com's Inauguration Speeches. Reason being: as recommended by TEDx TALKS Donauinsel (How to be confident -- and lay down on the street for 30 sec by Till H. Groß), "if you want to be really good at something...you have to learn from the best."

And it would be nice to have a good, productive week. :O)

    Thank you for your time!

EASY LAYERING IN 5 STEPS (FASHION BLOG POST)

    Rainy Seattle winters have benefits.

Temperature, for example, remains mildly chilly, but never frigid. After adapting to the gloominess, you realize that, with one extra cup of coffee each day, "that Seattle-Winter" is not-so-bad.

    Seattle is surrounded by mountains.

And sits in the way of the Pacific's "moisture system" that evaporates ocean water into clouds that can't get over the mountains, and amass a density that turns into constant rain.

The clouds, however, also insulate the city. :O)

The closer to the water, the warmer the temperature.

For example, the Northeastern outskirts, where our family lives now, can be 10 degrees colder than Downtown, which sits against the Pudget Sound.

"That Seattle-Winter" permits layering for style.

Not that other parts of the world can't layer, but our winters last from September to June, offering extensive time to master this layering-thing.

And because Seattle girls are known for being fast-paced and outdoorsy...

we layer in easy steps and practical pieces that anyone can do.

    EASY LAYERING IN 5 STEPS

    Step 1

    Start with the basics.

We recommend a monotone dress-shirt in black-and-white stripes.

    Step 2

    Add color.

A pair of maroon tights should suffice.

    Step 3

    Bulk it up.

Dimension and texture are always nice. Today, we used a knitted scarf.

    Step 4

    Add layer.

When in doubt, wear denim. It sharpens almost everything.

    Step 5

    Accessorize.

And try flats and a bag in seductive, neutral tones.

    Done!

    Thank you for visiting!

Hope you enjoyed today's simple layering.

    See you next time.

Last Week's Insta-Eat, -Do and -Wear in Seattle (Fashion Blog Post)

    Of course you use Instagram.

You are light years ahead of me.

Finally jumped on the bandwagon, and have been addicted since. Created a little account, documenting adventures in Seattle with our daughters. Because this blog is -- somewhat, kind of -- fashion-related, please allow everyday insta-outfits too.

    Don't worry.

Outfits are simple, casual and true to Seattle's active lifestyle.

Honestly, just wanted to share beautiful Seattle with whoever cares to stop by.

    Monday

    Eat: Macrina Bakery

Because: everything's made from scratch, using local ingredients; and tastes insanely good.

Love their pinwheel, by the way! Hope you try it.

Do: Go Up the Space Needle

Because: a 360-degree panoramic view of Seattle is absolutely breathtaking.

    Wear: A Bright Top

Because: Seattle winters are rainy and gloomy, but Seattle women are not.

    Tuesday

    Eat: Deru Market Kirkland

    Because: their desserts are mouthwatering!

Thank you to long-time friend T.C for introducing it to us!

    Do: Houghton Beach Park

Because: the beach has a gorgeous view, and the kiddos like the pirate-themed playground.

Wear: Long Cardi and Scarf. Or something equally warm.

Because: the beach gets a little chilly, so it's appropriate to bundle up.

    Wednesday

Eat: Spud's Fish and Chips (Alki Beach, West Seattle)

Because: Spud has the best fish and chips in town--and they are reasonably priced.

    Do: Alki Beach Stroll

Because: Alki's lovely, and a Seattle landmark.

    Wear: Flannel and Jeans

Because: Seattle women prefer staying true to Seattle style.

    Thursday

    Eat: Top Pot Donuts

Because: the company is Seattle-grown and offers the BEST donuts in town.

    Do: Ferry Ride to Bremmerton

Because: it's a beautiful, peaceful ride across the Sound.

Wear: Bulky Jacket and Big Prints

Because: Seattle women are down-to-earth. We dress for the weather while making bold statements.

    Friday

Eat: Beef Noodle Soup at Phuket Thai Restaurant (Uptown, Seattle)

Because: cold weather and warm soup create a fitting combo.

    Do: Kerry Park

Because: it is the best viewpoint in town

    No joke.

    Wear: Superman Top

Because: Superman is my husband's idol, as my husband is mine. (Sorry everyone! I'm a self-indulgent fashion blogger after all.)

    Thanks for your time!

Hope you are having a fun and fabulous weekend.
