Seattle Weekend - Happy Mother's Day!

To all the hard-working mamas out there -- Happy Mother's Day!

How did you spend your day?

Did you enjoy breakfast in bed? Maybe some much-needed pampering? Or just a simple day playing with loved ones?

Hubby and Kiddo let me sleep in this a.m while they picked out something I've been eye-ing for a while...

Do you read with a Kindle? They are so convenient -- all those books at the touch of your finger. I cannot put mine down.

Love the neat little package.

So ergonomic - fits right into my palm.

And thin as paper, light as air.

Then, we spent the afternoon in gorgeous sunlight, and planted three rose bushes -- one pink, one red and the other one orange. Just like our family, we hope they grow into something amazing.

Gardening is hard work, but the roses were totally worth it.

Lastly, we ended the day skyping our family in China and Canada.

So, now that you found out about my Mother's Day, how did you spend yours?

  3. Happy mother's day! What a lovely mother's day gift! I wish I have green fingers like you. I can't seem to keep any plants alive. My mother's day was spent on the couch with my feet up with a book. Have fun with your Kindle...and nice to hear from you!

  16. Had a great day with my mom Took her to a great italian restaurant and she just loved it! Got her flowers and some tea She already has a Nook but doesn't use it as much as I would like. She is not very tech savy. Just trying to enjoy her as much as I can. I agree, gardening is hard work but the end result is worth it!!
