Skin Care Blog Post - MAYBELLINE FIT ME FOUNDATION IN 230 (NATURAL BUFF)

Girlies, do you like things that fit?

Silly question -- OF COURSE YOU DO! And when it comes to your foundation, you'd like it to fit like a glove.

Thanks to Maybelline, you now have a line of foundation that's made to let your skin's natural color through. Therefore, it fits your personal color.

Sounds wonderful, but...does it work? Let's find out...

The Claim:
  • "No oils, no waxes, no nonsense"
  • "Natural coverage that leaves skin the way it was meant to be…fresh, breathing, natural"

My Take:

  • The foundation was super light weight
  • Felt really good and breathable
  • But, it did not provide the kind of coverage I sought
  • I had to apply 2 layers to get the coverage I desired

The Claim:
  • "Exclusive translucent base and lightweight pigments allow skin's natural highs and lows to show through"
  • "Non-comedogenic, dermatologist-tested"

My Take:
  • The color was IMPECCABLE! I was really pleased with the pigmentation. Matched perfectly.
  • It really did look like my real skin color came through
  • No irritation afterward.

Additional Thoughts:
  • The packaging was simple and sleek. I really liked the way it looked.
  • The bottle was easy to use. Foundation was easy to access.
  • There was a faint fragrance. Smelled like flowers. I didn't mind, but some people might.
  • Great price. About $8 at the drug stores.
  • SPF 18 - Kudos dudettes!

Overall Rating:

4/5

Repurchase?

Yes. However, It makes a better foundation for day than night.

Pictures:

Before

Please excuse the dull, blotchy skin. Yikes! And the tired eyes too.

After

Much improvement. FitMe made my skin smooth and nice.

  1. I haven't heard of this foundation and that's a bummer it didn't have the best results with 1 coat, that happens with mine too but your skin looks pretty (before too btw-don't be so hard on yourself) but it is natural looking and a great match especially for that price. What a good deal!

  19. Im glad you really liked this product. I've tried it and unfortunately its a little too oily for my skin. My face looks so ridiculously shiny when I use FITme. I do love the concealer from this line but the foundation isn't exactly one of my faves.

  21. I actually was really surprised with this foundation too! i have to do 2 applications for the coverage I want as well, but it's fine especially for $6. And the color match is exquisite!
